Founder of Functionalism

Functionalism is the opposite theory of evolutionism. In earlier 20th century debate on evolution, the term functionalism came on the light Europe and America.
 
According to functionalist functionalism developed in lies of evolutionism. Empirical knowledge is essential for anthropology.

Founder of Functionalism are

Browm and Malinowski used the concept of functionalism. Suggesting that society could be conceptualized as made of interdependent parts that operate together to meet different social needs politics, religion, family, community, society etc(main concept of functionalism).

According to Jacob and stern (general anthropology) functionalism has been a kind of social anatomy and physiology without genetics is hardly adequate as a science. so anthropology must take historical factors into consideration.

B .Malimowski  in his book “a scientific theory of culture and other essays” says that “culture channels human reproduction is societies a women must be married before she may legitimately conceive a child… family, marriage, universal descent group from universal biological conditions including biological reproduction.

Radclip Brown: (the structure and function in primitive society) he said “the action and interaction forms an integral whole and none can be understood in isolation from others. Social system are made up normative guided social relationship through which members occupy particular statuses, peruses diverse interest and express value and sentiments. For a social system to exist at all, members must in same measure share moral as aesthetic and economic inherent.
